Dexona 0.5 MG Description

Dexona tablet is a medicine from the steroid class. It is used to treat a wide range of inflammatory conditions, allergies, and auto-immune conditions. This tablet is also used to treat a certain form of cancer. Dexona contains the steroid dexamethasone as its active ingredient. It reduces the formation of inflammation-causing substances in the body.

Your doctor will prescribe a dosing schedule of Dexona tablets that suits your condition. Take the medicine for the duration it is prescribed, and do not miss any dose.

Take this medicine exactly as the doctor told you to. You must complete the entire course with the medicine. Do not increase the dose or discontinue abruptly without consulting the prescriber, as it may worsen the disease condition.

A few more tablets containing dexamethasone are Decdan 0.5mg tablet, Dexacron 0.5mg tablet and Dexacip 0.5mg tablet.

This medicine might make it harder for the patient to fight off the infection. Thus, inform your doctor of any signs of infection like a sore throat or unhealed injuries. Also, you must avoid crowds and persons with contagious or infectious conditions. Before using the Dexona tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.
