Udiliv 300 MG Description
Udiliv 300 tablets contain ursodeoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring bile acid in the liver. This medication is primarily prescribed for treating liver-related disorders such as primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), and cholesterol-based gallstones. It is also sometimes used to manage liver conditions linked with cystic fibrosis. Udiliv 300 tablet works by reducing the cholesterol content in bile juice.
Udiliv 300 tablets should be swallowed whole after a meal, with a glass of milk or water. The dosage will depend on the condition being treated and your body weight. Take it regularly for maximum benefit, for the duration prescribed (several months or longer), even if symptoms disappear.
Common side effects may include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, hair loss, itching, nausea, and rash. Not everyone experiences these side effects. If you are concerned or if the side effects persist, inform your doctor.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have inflammation of the gallbladder or bile ducts, experience frequent cramp-like pain in your upper abdomen, have been coughing up blood, or have gained weight rapidly.

Women should discontinue hormonal birth control pills as they can increase the production of gallstones. Contraindications of Udiliv 300 MG

Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of cholesterol-lowering medicines such as cholestyramine or colestipol and some antacids may reduce the effect of this medicine. So, it should be taken between a gap of 2 hours at least....
- Contraceptive pills should not be used if you are being prescribed Udiliv 300 tablets.
- Other medicines that may affect this medicine are charcoal, antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin, immunosuppressants like Ciclosporin, cholesterol-lowering medicines like Atorvastatin, and Dapsone, used as an anti-infective. Hence, it should not be used concomitantly....
